Living Upside Down:

Four Reflections on the theme Plygain - a tradition to share

A Welsh and bilingual resource from the Methodist Church comprising four meditations for the Advent and Christmas period. The reflections are based on the richness of the traditional plygain carols. At the end of each meditation there are questions for discussion and for putting faith in action in our lives and within our communities.

Welcome

One of the things that has clearly come out of this time is the support that online environments have been able to provide people. This has ranged from working relationships, social interaction and in our case, providing a space to worship together.

In feedback that the Learning Network Cymru / Wales have received, people using online medium for worship and fellowship have found them invaluable. This positivity has not always been shared however by those people with the responsibility of putting the services together. Confusion about licensing requirements, finding resources to use in the services, putting together lyrics to go with songs or hymns - all of these have proven to be difficult for a number of people.

This blog space is hopefully an aid in trying to alleviate some of those difficulties.

On this space, please feel free to share any and all resources that you have used or are using in your online worship. Images, music, videos etc. this is a space for people to come and find resources that they know they have permission to use and can adapt or edit to fit in with their service planning.

In sharing any items to this space, you are confirming that you have permission to do so (from the original / performing / owner of the material) and that these can be shared for the purposes of online worship. If you are unsure, please do not share to this space.

It is hoped that this can and will be a handy resource shop for all that are putting together online worship and that we can also share what we have done that has worked, what we have learnt from our mistakes, and where we are going in the development of worship taking our learning from this time.

You can submit anything to share via bennettg@methodistchurch.org.uk and it would be good if you could submit some pertinent labels for people to be able search by i.e. 'photo' 'cross' 'StF545' etc.

Many thanks and we hope that you find this space useful.
